Women's Christian Hospital, Multan

WCH is a very busy obstetric and gynaecological centre, with Paediatric care available for children born here. It is a 75 bed hospital which gives government recognised midwifery training to girls from the community. It is also recognised for postgraduate training of Doctors in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.

History

In 1899 the only hospital in Multan was a government one, and it only served men. There were no trained midwives in the city. No "purdah" woman could have help in times of sickness except by sending a male relative or female servant with a description of her symptoms, and taking whatever medicine the doctor sent. more...

We are a non-profit organisation. Patients are charged a nominal fee which covers the cost of their care. Equipment purchases and major captial works are funded by donors. more...
